Tinódi Chamber Choir
Várpalota

It was brought to life by the need to present a fun choral piece for children at the annual teachers' concert for our students. From the following year onwards, the choir became a permanent fixture at the Renaissance Days, which were linked to the summer Castle Life, and this permanent programme determined the main profile of the choir: the backbone of their repertoire was mainly Renaissance sacred and secular motets and madrigals. The name of the Chamber Choir was chosen to reflect this profile: since 2010, the name Tinódi - the Renaissance musician - has been used. They are also regular participants in the 1st Advent Candle-lighting Sunday concert of the Evangelical Church in várpalota.
